I love summer. It's so nice to do things outdoors. Last week Dad worked on getting my bicycle and Mom's bicycle all fixed up so that we could ride them this weekend. You know where we rode them?

Angel Island. It is an island in the bay, real close to the Golden Gate Bridge. We rode our bikes down to the ferry and the ferry took us to the island. There were paths all over the place for people to ride their bikes on or walk. We rode all over the island and did not have to worry about cars because the only cars on the island were just the few that the park rangers drove. We saw deer all over the place. I love deer! They are such beautiful animals. I wish I could have one as a pet.
When we got to the other side of the island from where the ferry dropped us off, we looked across the bay and saw the beautiful city of San Francisco. As we continued our bike ride, we got to the easy part that was all down hill. I was glad to not have to peddle up any more hills. Instead we glided down with the wind blowing in our face and all I could do was laugh.
I had so much fun I hated to go home. I hope we go back!

That sounds like a lot of fun! I love to ride my bike. There is a place I like to ride my bike here in New York City that is called Central Park. Did you ever hear of it? It is in a lot of movies. My parents have taken me there several times to ride our bikes. We have so much fun. There are a lot of things to do and see in the park and sometimes Mom and Dad pack us a lunch and we have a picnic there.
