The Johnsons

Chapter 6 Spring was here and the trees were budding and the flowers started to bloom. We usually get a lot of rain this time of year. It gets really muddy ad messy. The school year is almost over and the kids are starting to get ready for summer. They are excited and anxious. They are breaking out the swim suits and coolers and thermoses. They are all going on their end of the school year trips. This means extra moneys going out. A lot of bag lunches are being made. Josie is going to the Historical Museum and Jack is going to Upper Canada Village. They had a great time and they bring home souvenirs’. Mama loves the maple leaves made from real maple sugar. They are delicious. There creamy, sweet and light. They melt real nice in your mouth. Papa never really got in to the kids field trips he is usually the one that hands out the money. It’s all good. Mama likes to get the kids to take pictures to put in their scrap book. We like to travel and go on vacation spots. Like this year we are going to go to Vincent’s sister’s wedding down in Lockport, New York. It’s going to be great. We’re going camping in tents. We are going to be roughing it. Mama and Papa think it will be real fun. The children are going to love it. They’ll be cooking on the open fire and melting marshmallows. We will be sleeping in sleeping bags and showering in public showers. The children will swim in the river and making new friends. Mama is not sure how she is going to like it because she doesn’t like sleeping in the open with a bunch of people she doesn’t really know. All in all they will go home and start their lives all over again.
