Is that understood?” All nodded in acceptance. Mr. Pierce continued. “Mr. Green works for us or did until Sergeant Tanner and Detective Ramon Gutierrez arrested him. Mr. Green was our mole in the Bannecort Corporation. We had him on a leash for shaking down H1B visa holders until he decided to go Postal and start ordering people killed. We were unaware of this activity until he was arrested. By the way, outstanding police work Sergeant Tanner. So, as you can see, the Secret Service is in sort of a pickle. Here we have a corporation which is using the H1B visa program to smuggle  enemy agents into the U.S. Mr. Green was supplying us with detailed information on the smuggling operation and we believe that he was about to give us the information we were looking for. Now, he wants to cut a deal before he gives us that information.”

      Mr. Tibbits was the first to speak. “I don’t understand why we are here Director Pierce. Mr. Green and his buddy Mr. Tuanamu are charged with murder and will stand trial.” “You are here because we need you to not go forward with the charges against them for the foreseeable future. The case we are investigating involves national security at the highest levels,” responded Mr. Pierce. “You have to do better than that,” said AUSA Tibbits.”
