Here is a collection of ecumenical essays by scholars representing various Christian denominations, presented at the International Congress of the Ecumenical Society of the Blessed Virgin Mary [ESBVM] in Pittsburgh, PA, in 2008. The contributors in this book center attention on Mary, the Mother of Christ, who was the biblical disciple whose life brings us to the love and glory of God. About the Author

Editors of this book are Dr. Maura Hearden, Roman Catholic Profesor of Theology at DeSales University in Center Valley, PA, and Dr. Virginia M. Kimball who is President of the Ecumenical Society of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the USA and Adjunct Professor of Theology at Assumption College in Worcester, MA. Dr. Hearden holds a doctorate in Theology from Marquette University and centers her research and interests in Mariology, intrreligious dialogue and ecumenism. She is a board member of the ESBVM USA. Dr. Kimball, an Eastern Orthodox theologian, is former president of the Mariological Society of America, a contributor to a prior ESBVM book, Mary for Time and Eternity, a contributor to Marian Studies, and writes articles and poetry on the MaryPage and other online websites.
