About the Author

Angella Campbell was born in the parish of St. Ann, Jamaica and is a happy mother of five children. When she was a kid life was not easy for her, her mother gave her away to about 3 different families, the last one she run away at age 12, starting to be on her own, taking care of herself, working for different people and sending herself back to school. When they asked for her mother, she used to say my mother can't walk. They felt sorry for her. She didn't know what a mother's love is, she says, until she had kids of her own. She is a grown-up woman now. She never felt accepted in life. So she wrote this book, which is a part of her life, as she says, adding that "if anyone accept this book you give me back my life that was stolen away from me when I was a kid. I'd be accepted. It would mean a lot to me. Thank you all. God bless you."
