The Butterfly's Thighs

Never fought so hard, I just want to sail.

Past this wanting and past this craving for something that is vacuous;

I will dive for Your ankles and will not get caught up in the lust.

You are far better than any touch or any earthly exchange;

Many vices will seek to own you so think it not strange.

Wanting and longing;

Frolicking and the prolonging.

Why do I have to be so good?

Desiring to take a vacation and maybe I should.

To the other side of the bay where there is heat;

Passion and sultry living, it sounds so sweet.

Sweet like honey in the warm summer night;

Tender glances that feel alright.

I feel like my flesh is on fire;

Burning and burning with lust and desire.

He was my partner on an unpleasant trip;

We did naughty things and we took lots of sips.

Of naughty drinks in over consumption land;

I was flying so high… skin and bones with a tan.

Seductive eyes trying to ride that vibe;

Now all I want to do is hide.

I have walked through the valley of the shadow of death with Him;

He has carried my bloody body through the fire and the rain when it was dim.

I seek His face and then I run away;

Do what it takes dear Lord to make me stay.

It has been just over a year now of this lascivious way of living;

I am trying to please both You Father and man but now I am giving.

I am giving pieces of myself away at such a high cost it makes me afraid;

I know nothing satisfies like You but I long for human touch and that is one reason I strayed.
