Love Blooms In A Blizzard

Eve had taken several steps outside of the barn when she heard a low growl. Turning around, she saw an enormous cat standing ten feet to her left and she froze. She had never seen a cat that large before. Her legs trembled and her heart began to race. A long moment passed, each staring silently and motionless at the other. As the big cat pounced, Eve turned back to the safety of the barn but made only a couple of steps when the full weight of the animal knocked her to the ground. She turned her head in time to look into the large soulful eyes of her attacker. Seconds passed. Again, the cat stared at her, looking deeply into her eyes. What was it waiting for? Perhaps it was toying with her as she had seen house cats do with prey. As the cat lunged at her, she felt its wet nose touch her chin and long, soft whiskers brushed against her face. The last thing she remembered were the large sharp teeth coming towards her.
