I’m on my way, on my way to the top.
I got my mind made up and I’m not going to stop.
I look around and listen. I watch and I see.
But the best thing about it, there’s only one me.
Time don’t wait for no one, I’m on my way to the top.
Time doesn’t wait for anyone one, I’m on my way to the top.
No matter where I’m from (pause) can’t stop where I’m going.
Belief and education, that’s what is showing.
I press for the mark and I don’t waste time.
I’m ready if it comes at the drop of a dime.
Time don’t wait for no one, I’m on my way to the top.
Time doesn’t wait for anyone one, I’m on my way to the top.
The world says you can’t (pause) but I know better than that.
People want you to stay right where they’re at.
I’m not limited (pause) opportunities are endless.
Stand back, look and listen. You can be my witness.
Time don’t wait for no one, I’m on my way to the top.
Time doesn’t wait for anyone one, I’m on my way to the top.
Witness what belief and education can do.
It’s not limited to me (pause) you can do it too.
It’s like the song (pause) you have to keep it moving.
Stay positive, focus and just keep the rhythm grooving.

About the Book
Contained in this book is poetry that will inspire, uplift, delight and cause you enjoyment. One thing I really enjoy is bringing others joy, this book is not only for me but it is also for you. I have had the opportunity to speak out feelings that so many of us experience in the form of poetry. As you read, daughters and sons, moms and dads, neighbors and even some acquaintances will come to mind. Pieces in this book can inspire you to want to mature, grow and take your life to another level. Laughter is good medicine so this book can increase your health for the better. I feel blessed to be able to minister into your life in the form of poetry.
About the Author
Valerie Granberry has lived in Burlington County, New Jersey all her life. She currently works for the Department of Corrections and has done so for the past 20 years. In May 2008, she received her Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice, and in December 2010, she will finish her Bachelor’s Degree in the Bible at Philadelphia Bible University. She loves studying the Bible, fishing, watching educational movies, and hanging with her family. “Right now in my life, I am busy finishing some things God has allowed me to start. I am blessed,” she says. She loves Deuteronomy 28: 1-14: Blessings for Obedience.
