“Me? Have a problem with idols? You’ve got to be kidding! The problem of idols and idolatry is not an outdated practice of extinct religions; it’s actually alive and flourishing today in our “modern” society. True, our current idols aren’t typically made of wood, stone, or gold. That’s because idolatry is simply the act of loving and worshipping something or someone more than the one person who actually deserves it – God Himself. About the Author
Paul Taylor is the Associate Pastor at the Mustard Seed Church in Lawrence, Kansas. Prior to pastoring he worked as a paramedic, retiring after 20 years of service. He is currently a volunteer Chaplain for several emergency agencies in his community. He married his wife Barb in 1974 and they have four children with growing families. Jerry Beneventi is a commercial contract manager for Hewlett-Packard. He has served on the collegiate ministry staff with Campus Crusade for Christ and the Navigators. As a member of Mustard Seed Church, he leads small group Bible studies and serves on the Evangelism Committee. He is married to Susan and is the father of three adult children. Susan King Beneventi is an Associate Professor in the School of Education at the University of Kansas in Lawrence, KS. She is a member of Mustard Seed Church where she serves on the Worship Council.
