It was almost time to feed Birgitta, who was only three months old. Anna wa fearful she would wake up and start crying. One of the men told them to take off their shoes. Just past them, the wall turned into a tunnel. They were running as fast as they could. Anna was carrying Birgitta and the exertion caused her feet to burn and her lungs and heart to ache. Finally, they arrived at Checkpoint Charlie. People standing at the borders were screaming and crying for mercy, wanting to be with family members on the other side. Suddenly, Anna heard gunshots and turned to see what had happened. She screamed, "Are we all going to die?"

About the Book
Over the past several years, I have become more and more interested in seeing how God works in our lives. It seems that God has crossed my path with several people who have had dramatic changes take place in their lives. In every one of those acquaintances, I have noticed that several people had a part in those changes.
About the Author
Don Dilmore has published seven books and has written many magazine articles, mainly of a Christian theme. He is an ordained pastor, and served as Vice-President for Development at the Canadian Southern Baptist Seminary. His book, DANNY'S RED JACKET, won first prize for Youth Fiction at the Deep South Writer's Conference. NEW BEGINNINGS has been used in many churches for New Christian classes. He has taught Christian Financial Planning seminars in many churches. He and Marie, his wife of 60 years, live in Montgomery,Texas. They have four children, seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. Don served for two years as State Campaign Chairman for the American Cancer Society. Marie and he are members of Benui Baptist Church, where he has served as Chairman of the Deacons. Don served in the Merchant Marine in WW II.
