Think of your lives. The focuses and values are not always the focuses and values that are good for us. At times it is wise to take inventory and decide if these are working for us and unselfish. In my experience, not evaluating my life from time to time has become a heavy price to pay. The lessons and hardships are the poems I have written. Enjoy the reading that follows in this book. All is as I have lived and learned. There is one short poem. "The Master Painter” As he started the day he knew he had the biggest challenge he had ever faced. So he chose the purist colors with no time to waste. Each part he touched so lovingly and made the colors come alive and beautifully bright. And the work on this rare and lovely scene took him well into the night. When morning came a smile came upon his face for he knew he was finally through. And it was on that day God had blessed me for it was then he painted you. -Jeremy Swanson

About the Book
People, who found out I write poems, ask me to write them poems, so I was really busy and I was really happy to do that. Some of them were from treatment, jail, and prison. I write poems about relationships, love, and the kids. I am sober now, and when I read my poems again I feel bad about the things I lost when I went to prison. My kids are really happy now. I'm proud of my kids and they are doing well.
About the Author
“You can dream it, you can live it, and you can become that person that you want to be.” Jeremy has done his poems since 1985 when he went to prison. When he wrote them he would think about his kids and wife, when she was still married to him. He wanted people to see his poems and for his kids to know how to deal with life. There are love, divorce, and some laughing poems. “People said about a poem class they were going to go. They said if you want you should go and listen. I went and I ask that lady who have that poem meeting, if she would read my poem out loud when they were done. She said, I will. She read out loud, looked at me afterward and she said did you really write it. I said yes, and she said it's beautiful. That was 10 years ago. My mom Jerry always asks me to publish my poems, I was drinking everyday and I didn't have the money to have a publisher to it. Now I am sober and my mom said, get the poems publish and I will pay to get it done. I wanted to cry, and I said thank you!” ~Jeremy Swanson
