About the Author
I have taught math from the 6th grade level through college for over 30 years. I am presently teaching day and night at an alternative high school in San Marcos, Texas, I have my own private tutoring business, and teach ACT and SAT prep classes on Saturdays. I know that math can be very overwhelming and just plain scarey! My favorite saying to students is, "How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time, of course!" That 'one bite' is a solid definition or rule, followed by a simple example. From this, all math problems can be mastered. I also include many shortcuts, tricks and silly ways to remember skills easily and quickly. If you take "one bite at a time," before you know it, the elephant will be gone!
