"Let me first start this review off with one of my favorite quotes from the book. ?For the love I fed, that little devil that said, you?re in love with him in your head.? A quote from page one of Untitled Rhythm of Confusion ? Poetry From A Broken Heart and Confused Soul, a segway to many more hard lessons learned by this author and her now disillusioned pen. I swear this book is going to save somebody?s life. Reading the first few pages of this book you get the sense that someone is battling with the bad choices they made, but at the same time are still finding it hard to leave a bad situation, inspite of the cheating, the beatings, the calling them out of their name, something still is keeping them from walking out that door. Empowering themselves through poetry, reminding themselves of their self worth with their pen, the author uses these tools to not stay a victim another second, but to do something about their situation, and if they fall, to get back up again like the song. But when you finally do get free, when you finally do get the strenth to leave, you?re angry as hell, bitter, you?ve lost your sweetness. If you?re just getting out of a relationship you will feel even more attached to these poems, these stories, these cautionary tales. Antoinette puts out a call for sisterhood for woman to stop fighting over these dudes on page 6 she says, ?those dudes don?t love us, don?t fight and don?t fued, we get no love from them bamma ass dudes,?lol. When I read that I had to laugh out loud saying out loud, ?she felt that thang,?lol. She goes on to say, ?say goodbye to that guy while your head is still up high. Just leave it alone, you can do better on your own. Stop being a little girl and be grown? Loved that. You?ll find many more jewels like that reading this book. There?s a whole lot of venting going on here, but that?s how we poets get down, we don?t hold shit like that in, we spill it out on pieces of paper with pencil and pen. Another jewel
