About the Book
This book will build background knowledge about deer and their behavior patterns. The ten chapters will encourage young readers to interact with nature and learn enjoyable methods to observe deer. The full color photographs show how to participate in scouting activities. The five recreational activities discussed in Scouting Whitetails include: • Shed antler hunting • Planting food plots • Nature photography • Setting motion activated trail cameras • Fall scouting This book will also prepare the reader with the product knowledge needed to purchase equipment and scouting gear. The Activities Section of the book offers opportunities for the reader to: measure and score a shed antler, create art projects, write poetry and journal observations. Scouting Whitetails will guide the readers to create their own outdoor experiences, spend time with family and friends, and build admiration for the whitetail deer.
About the Author
Chad Frase has been teaching fourth grade since 2002. He is a certified Hunter’s Safety Education Instructor in the State of Wisconsin. When he is not teaching, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. He and his family enjoy hunting, fishing, camping and scouting whitetails.
