About the Author
Born in Guyana (formerly British Guiana), professionally educated and trained in the United Kingdom (UK), obtaining both his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and now living with his wife Barbara in Toronto, Canada. Ashton Jairam is a Chartered Electrical Engineer (C.Eng.) and an administrator with an international background of diversified experience in electronics and electric utility industry, with special emphasis on Human Resources Development. Ashton has been involved in professional training and development in both electronics and electric utility services for more than twenty years. His experience includes Training Manager, GEC Training Department; Senior Lecturer, Gulf Polytechnic and Guyana Govt. Technical Institute; Product Supervision Engineer, Smiths Industries; Technical Adviser and Chief Design Engineer, Crossfield Electronics. He is currently involved in system analysis programs, programmable logic controller (PLC), personal computers and human resources development and uses both Microsoft Windows and Power Points to write a wide range of simple modular training programs supported by CorelDRAW and MultiSim for graphic production.
