“Why on earth don’t you like gloves, they keep you lovely and warm”. Sadie’s answer was not unexpected. “No animals wear gloves”. “Ah, I see” Sadie’s mummy smiled. “In fact no animals get wrapped up at all”. “Yes” Sadie answered as she jumped from her bed. Her mummy fastened her coat and wrapped a pink fluffy scarf around her neck. Sadie could only raise her eyes in despair! Looking through the window a sudden movement appeared at the bottom of the garden, so sudden you could have missed it, but not Sadie, for she recognized the sandy-coloured fox straight away. “Mummy look!” Sadie sang in delight as she ran to the door. As her mummy opened the door, the fox disappeared. “Today Mummy I’m going to be a fox, and they certainly don’t wear gloves”. “So you’ve never heard of foxgloves have you?” Sadie’s mummy asked as they closed the gate behind them, walking Winnie towards the park. “Fox’s gloves?” “Come along, I’ll show you.”

This is the first book of the author R. W. Taylor, who lives in Yorkshire in the United Kingdom. The Author has at least two things in common with Sadie, firstly, having a little puppy called Winnie, and, secondly, just like Sadie, the Author has never quite understood the attraction of becoming a grown-up.
