About the Book
POETRY IN MOTION explores a deep cavern within our emotional spheres, not one that is likely avoided or denied, by shellacking over with immeasurable amounts of positivity, as the obvious way to bevel it off. Keep it well out of reach. Deny it to exist. Which is quite right indeed, since this sort of emotional, sublime, blunt and brave if you will, way of looking into the Human Heart is exacerbating and ironic, to say the least, putting it mildly. Honestly, it reminds us of why we choose to live our lives, seeking out the good in all things, as opposed to being enveloped by the cold, lonely darkness of what should not be. The popular Satire is entertaining and informative, yet impressionable minds should recognize that the writer here seeks to challenge your thoughts of wholesomeness or do you just fall into the mainstream of, ‘Group Think’ or inferior thinking, merely to fit in? Even, if that may be a wrong thing? Fitting in and standing out have two different effects. The underlying statement being, it’s so very important not to come to simple, judgmental conclusions and carefully think out a worthy outcome, based on what you know to be correct and true, if not for others, for your own peace of mind! Always knowing that Art, stands on its own, as a way of furthering ourselves in Life, like Romantic Love.
About the Author
R. J. is a seasoned Poetesse, with a Life Time of experience behind her. She is the Great-Niece of Kahlil Gibran, also known as the ‘Great Prophet’ and Poet, born on Mount Lebanon. R. J. tends to view the World through rose, coloured glasses. She has to do it with 20/15 vision in both eyes, in her adult years, and speaks of highly, visual definition. Things that, the average viewer would not describe in such detail, shall we say. She’s not sure if it’s a blessing or a curse? Let us pray not the latter! R. J. dominates through rhyme in ‘Poetry in Motion’ however, an underlying hint of Satire is beginning to emerge in an over all innuendo of flavor, style and implication. Satire! In Poetry? When Satire, occasionally takes root in writing, as a rare medium, the work itself attracts a lot of criticism. It implicates the reader, into its own naturalistic theme. It seeks to inform, entertain and justify itself and doesn’t much consider an alternative outcome, but leaves the mental imagery in your mind, pretty much, as is, but still targets the object of desire or ridicule, merely to be exposed. The flip side to this Satirical quality, is a highly, articulate Romantic, who believes it, truly is a ‘Hopeless’ one, yet the deep meaning can fill your senses with a kind of tender reality that is so seldom captured in verse form. The sweetest breath of sincerity, weeps from the depth of your Soule, and heart struck poignancy absorbs the realm of possibility, into the subtle longing for the actual experience? Compelling and influencing! Further, her poetry is truly reflective of the times. It could be that her insight, in these ever changing and evolving times, that we live in, may carry a historical value, not yet realized, as mainstream insight and overall consciousness of the age. A historical measure, yet mindless persuasion quells its presence from being suggestive. Corruption suggests itself, yet a deeper Love casts its spell, and over rides the possibility of it succeeding.
