About the Author

Melissa Emily Mitchell was born and raised in New York City. She is a passionate writer who has been writing contemporary poetry since 1997. Her first poems were inspired by her journal entries and random thoughts. Over time, the subject matter of her poetry intensified as her experiences with love and life deepened. Melissa enjoys reading and writing poetry, performing spoken word and developing other projects connected to her passion for verse. “Come Into My Place: A Collection of Love Poems” is Melissa’s first collection of work. She is currently working on her future projects which include a 2012 calendar, poetry on wall art, and another collection of poems.
