About the Author
Marylu. Gleason was raised in Wellesley, Massachusetts, the youngest of five children and the only daughter of Francis and Alma Gleason. In 1952, she graduated from Wellesley High School and, Mt. Ida College in 1954. Following her marriage to Dudley Thomas in 1956, they moved to Scottsdale, Arizona. In 1984 she received a Paralegal Certificate from Arizona State University. During the 44 years she lived in Scottsdale, Arizona, she worked and raised five children and presently has ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren. While raising five children, Marylu. was a Den Mother for Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts and Room Mother many times during their school years. She was also Team Mother and a member of the Board of Directors for Little League baseball and Pop Warner football. Most of her working career has been spent in the legal field as a secretary and paralegal; however, she is currently retired. Throughout her life she has always had a dog or two as pets. They have always been very special to her and always there waiting when she would get home with their tales wagging. Marylu. firmly believes that dogs are a person's best friend. Having pets and sports has always been a big interest to her. Baseball, football, hockey are her favorite sports. Bike riding has been a sport that has helped her maintain an active life style. Marylu. and her husband now reside in Cheyenne, Wyoming moving there in 2003. She appreciates being able to enjoy a relaxing and quiet lifestyle with their three dogs-Molly, Coalby, and Brownie.
