About the Book
A collection of poetry on aging, illness, dying and death through the eyes of a caregiver. The poetry describes the various changes that come with an elderly mind, body, and spirit. The poet takes us on a tireless journey starting with joy, laughter, contentment, and reflection, and then onto the pain, despair, holding on, hopelessness, learning to let go and finally , embracing God on the path to a new beginning.
About the Author
Maria Psanis was born and spent her early childhood years in Athens, Greece. She immigrated to America at age 12. Ms. Psanis received a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology and a Bachelor's Degree in English Literature from the Univerity of Hartford, and an Associates Degree from Hartford College from Women. Ms. Psanis is a clinical psychotherapist in private practice in Simsbury, CT.
