Destiny he enters my space almost every day. his glasses steamed up and his fingerless gloves pulled off, and right away a cigarette. he sheds his scarves, hat and coat to show off his green corduroy pants hanging almost to his knees. his waist can’t hold them up.

About the Book
Lewis Bosworth was born in Detroit, MI. He grew up in southern Illinois and was educated at the Universities of Wisconsin and Michigan. He is a linguist by training and is bilingual in French. This collection, Recordações, is his fi rst, and most of the poems are remembrances of his life and refl ect his memories of relatives and friends present and past. Some refl ect the diverse characters he has encountered during his lifetime.
About the Author
I have been writing poetry for about 30 years and have had a few poems published. I have advanced degrees in foreign languages and linguistics. I have always been fascinated by reading and now writing poetry. Words, their histories and usage are a beautiful way to study our culture. I live in Madison, WI and am a retired member of the academic staff at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I also taught at the University of Michigan and at Wesleyan University in CT. I enjoy musical theatre, church activities, and gay and lesbian studies.
