A GREETING FROM GOD’S CREATION For me, early morning is my time of the day, All God’s creation is waking and it seems to say, “Good morning and welcome creation out of clay, Here’s another day for you, God will show you the way.” Listen as He speaks through a ray of glistening sun, And through a rippling stream as it takes its run, Listen all day long after your day has begun, God speaks through all creation; His love compares with none. WHO IS GOD? Who is God, Who is God, Who is He to you? Who lets the day awake and lets the sun shine thru? Who lets the sun shine daily and the moon at night? Who makes the grass so green and the flower’s hue so bright? Who provides food and all our needs each and every day? Who gave His Son to free us from our sin and gave salvation’s way? Who sends spiritual sunshine into our lives and also the rain? Who allows us to fall just so He can pick us up again? Who strengthens us each day when we just simply ask? Who has an abundant supply of love in which we can bask? Who will lead us gently when we just hold onto His hand? Who promised to take us safely through to Heaven’s Gloryland? Who is God, who is God above? The answer to these questions lie in a simple word – LOVE!! HANDS AND EYES Lord, your hands of grace hold me safe each day, Your eyes of mercy see my inner being and its way. Your hands hold on tight so as I walk I won’t fall, Your eyes cause me to see you’re the greatest of all. So, Lord, use your hands and put me on your wheel, Give me spiritual eyes to see you’re really real. Use my hands to reach out and help someone along, Use my eyes to see their good points and not wrong. Help my eyes and hands to encourage every day, Put someone in my path to help along this way!! MY LITTLE SPOT TO ENJOY There’s a little spot just outside my front door, Early morning finds me sitting there once more. The air is cool and fresh as I quietly look around, I can feel His presence as I look up and not down. Feeling His presence, I have the hope of eternal life, For I know I can trust Him to lead through any strife. Taking these few minutes of meditation, my day is off to a good start, Along with a cup of coffee or tea, His presence stirs my heart. Quietly, I thank Him for this another good day, He made it just for me to enjoy along this way. NO DEBT No bankruptcy or foreclosure filed in Heaven so don’t you forget, Everything there is paid in full there is absolutely no debt, No mortgages, no liens or even dollars and cents to pass from hand to hand, Yes! Everything will be perfect and debt free in that great land, We just need to make daily deposits of praise each and every day of life, Then we can live in that land that is free from all heartache and strife!

About the Book
This collection of poems, written by Maxine Dykes Quinton, will inspire and encourage people to hold on to their faith in God. Maxine began writing inspirational poetry in 1980 with a desire to honor her Lord. Her writings simply express her experiences - from life's pleasures to life's disappointments. Her faith in God gives her peace for daily living. Maxine wishes that all who read this book will be encouraged to honor God in their lives.
About the Author
Maxine Dykes Quinton was born and raised in Pulaski County, Kentucky. Her parents, George and Lula Groves Dykes, were Pulaski County natives who worked hard to provide for their family of three. At age 11, Maxine experienced the loss of her father. Maxine graduated from Somerset High School in 1957. She worked briefly as a telephone operator before marrying Wayman Quinton in 1958. They had four children, but divorced in 1969 bringing hurt and disapppointment to the family. Maxine's faith kept her going to work and raise the children with the help of her mother. She continued to rely on God's strength and comfort during the unexpected loss of her second son, Steve in 2009. Maxine has worked various clerical jobs to support her family. She is presently retired, but continues to do clerical work part-time at a senior citizens center.
