The Sunlit Strand
There is a place where love walks hand in hand
with poetry and melodies of song.
It is a sunlit stretch of golden sand
where only gentle hearts in love belong.
The sliding breakers stroke the silken shore
with nature's quiet rhythm, as the tide
comes with a sigh, then slips away once more ...
a place where peace and beauty both reside.
One day I walked along this golden strand
and touched a rainbow in the circling mist.
A sudden wave of love I'd never planned
washed over me ... I knew I had been kissed
by heaven's sweetest blessing, rare but real
and ever since that day beside love's sea,
I've marveled at the happiness I feel,
and try to tell it in my poetry.
