The barn that time forgot
A glorious field rolled high along the horizon,
Masked by the early morning fog,
The glowing red sun burns away the screen,
This reveals a barn that time forgot.
Beads of fog residue can clearly be seen slowly sliding down
the large stone walls,
The once strong beams now warped through time,
Streaks of light cut through the air inside,
As it pushes past the missing tiles.
And the only life that now exists,
Are the simplest creatures that you might even miss,
Three small harvest mice snuggled in hay,
Protected from the troubles that killed the farm that day.
