When we are lost, we must use our G.P.S.: God’s Prayer Service. He always shows us the way.

We all feel lost in life at times, not knowing which way to turn or even how we got to where we are. Often we are lost because we have tried to lead ourselves. It could be that we may have been forgetting to read the “Road Map of Life,” God’s Holy Bible, so we strayed off the right path. Perhaps we just joined in with the crowd, thinking maybe they knew where they were going, only to be like a lemming and follow until we fall off a cliff. Maybe we thought we were being led by a good shepherd that turned out to be a big bad wolf. Whatever the reason, we sometimes get off course.
Especially in these times, we must know that God is only a prayer away. Our God wants, expects and desires for us to cry out for Him in our time of need. God does not want any of us to go through life with bad or no direction. He so much wants His lost ones to find their way. Even though we may have made a few wrong turns in life and traveled down roads that we had no business being on, God does not want us lost.
The world will give us all sorts of road blocks, crazy signs and detours, but know that if we allow ourselves to be led by God we will all make it home safe and sound.

VERSE: Psalm 32: 8 (NLT) “The Lord says, I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.

We often get impatient waiting on God to answer our prayers, but keep in mind how often the Lord has to wait for us to answer His call.

God begins answering prayers the moment we pray or even before. Some of His answers are felt immediately while some we do not see the answers until a much later time, yet know God is always working on our behalf. Our Lord knows our needs and our desires and hears all our prayers. God also knows when His answer to our prayers will be of the biggest blessing.
Knowing that God hears and answers all our prayers, one question must be asked of us. How many times have we felt that God led us to do something, but we have made Him wait or just ignored His call completely? Maybe He led us to show someone charity, kindness or love? But we waited until it would be more convenient for us or just didn’t do it at all. Perhaps we were led to tell a stranger that Jesus loves him or her, but out of fear, just ignored giving the stranger the message. How many of us have felt led to volunteer for a church committee or teach a Sunday school class but later talked ourselves out of it? If this sounds familiar, welcome to the crowd, brothers and sisters.
A few years ago, I was working around a person I had never met. Suddenly, I felt an overwhelming feeling to tell him “Jesus says, yes.” For hours I tried to get up enough nerve and looked for the right moment to share this message with him. I never did. I felt tremendously horrible. That night I prayed and promised God that I would never again ignore Him when He calls on me to do something. A couple months later, He gave me another opportunity, and you can trust me that I did not even hesitate for a minute to deliver His message. When I gave this person the message, tears began filling her eyes and she knew exactly what I was talking about. In these Heaven sent whispers, there have been a few messages that I thought were odd, but I obediently sent them anyway. After I send these messages, I will get a response from someone or a few people on how the message spoke to them and how it applied to their life. These responses leave my eyes filled up with tears out of shear humbleness and appreciation to the Lord for using me. We don’t always know why God asks us to do Csomething but we can be assured that someone will be blessed by it.
Let us always try to be patient when waiting for God’s answers to our prayers. Let us never hesitate to act on what the Good Lord is telling us to do. Ultimately, when we feel like we are growing impatient waiting on God’s answers to our prayers, let us be mindful of all the loving patience that He has shown while waiting on us.
VERSE: Colossians 3: 12 (NLT) “Since God chose you to be the Holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.”
