About the Author
The author is an interventional cardiologist. He has completed his cardiology training from prestigious G S Seth Medical college and KEM Hospital, Mumbai, India. He has worked as cardiology fellow in Glasgow Royal Infirmary, Glasgow for 1 year. After completion of fellowship he has been practicing cardiology in Gujarat, India for last ten years. He has vast experience in Coronary as well as Rheumatic heart disease (RHD). RHD is still quite common in India and is a major cause of admission in hospitals. The author has rich experience of balloon valvuloplasties. His experience in dealing with valvular heart disease gives him an edge in writing a detailed book about multivalvular and prosthetic valve disease. In his series of handbooks about valve disease, he has already published "A Handbook of Rheumatic Fever", "A Handbook of Aortic valve disease and "A Handbook of Tricuspid and Pulmonary Valve disease". All these books have been published by Authorhouse. Apart from this handbook he has been a co-author of a book called "Patel's Atlas on Transradial Interventions: The basics" and has contributed as an author in "Patel's atlas on Transradial Interventions: Basics and Beyond".
