About the Book

A Sack Full of Blood is the historical remembrance of events concerning the obedience of a former twelve year old, runaway boy named Leroy Mills, which later combined with the obedience of a former twelve year old, runaway girl named Hattie Mae Caldwell. Their faithfulness to their missions for the Lord in conjunction with the zeal of Carrie Francis Jones changed the religious and African American culture of the all male dominated church and social order of the South.

About the Author

Michael is the third child of two preachers, Annie Lee and Nathan King, Sr., who were also his first tutors in the ways of the Lord Jesus. Having been nurtured in the ways and admonition of the Lord from his youth, he was educated in the Rowan County, North Carolina public school system. Michael earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education from North Carolina Central University in 1982, with honors. He taught in the Warren County public school system and graduated with honors in 1986 from the North Carolina Central University School of Law, Durham, North Carolina, with a Juris Doctorate Degree. Michael met Christ, while in law school in 1984, the same year that he married Angela Culbertson. He has been a father to six children and grandfather to four. In 1998, after recognizing the call into the ministry, he received further instruction from Elder C.F. Jones Jackson, Elder Ivey L. Cowan and later from Dr. Gregg Singer upon enrolling in the Southeastern Theological Seminary, Atlanta, Georgia. Michael has published and written legal articles, religious skits and plays, songs and autobiographies in addition to the four volume series, "The Greatest Mystery Ever Revealed: The Mystery of the Will of God". He has traveled widely and hosted two regular radio programs. He laid the foundation for Damascus Church in 1989, and in 1992 Chief Overseer C.F. Jones Jackson promoted him to the National Board of the Emmanuel Churches worldwide. In the year 2000, as a bishop for the Emmanuel Churches, Bishop King began performing extensive evangelism and missionary work in the poor areas of North Carolina, USA, Alabama, USA and in South Africa. Michael presently pastors Damascus Church, of the Emmanuel Churches, performs the bishopric duties for the churches founded by Bishop Leroy R. Mills in Florida, USA, and works in teaching fellowship with Bishop Robert Lee Huey, Jr., Charlotte, North Carolina.
