JANUARY MOON I dreamed of a Sorrel sky Over a high Summer meadow As I slumbered Under a frosted January Moon Dancers emerged From their gypsy wagon As a newborn baby Cried its First breath Its breath Caught in My heart Like pollen Upon cattails A joyful cry Remembered As the night horses Were released From their Nighttime pastures Hooves pounding To the beat Of their own Hearts Celebration of life Remembered As the red winged Blackbirds rush above The Brazos River And a swaddled infant Is placed in its mothers Waiting arms To dream sweet dreams Of her embrace BLISS OF YOUR BEING Embrace your divinity The realm within Feel the joy Of your Being hood Come alive again In the bliss of your being Even love has no name It is who you are Unlabeled, untame In the wildness of nature Every life has a force From the delicate flower To the spring water's Source In the bliss of your being Peace will be unamed The source of your Freedom Is you Untamed

This collection of poetry reflects the beauty of the earth, the peace of Ahimsa, and one’s personal experiences and spiritual journey. These thought provoking poems are grounded in spirituality and awareness, as the author navigates through her life with an interesting perspective of people, places and life experiences. DANCE OF THE SERPENTINE tells a story of hope, peace and adventure.
About the Author
Becky Nirali Kleinschmidt started on her spiritual path in 1984 when she became a student of Chetana Catherine Florida, founder of the Lighthouse Center, a non-denominational meditation center committed to meditation, peace in the world, and Ahimsa (non-violence) towards ourselves and all living beings. She has practiced mantra meditation daily since 1991, became vegetarian in 2000, and vegan in 2006. Becky, given the spiritual name Nirali, which means "unique", has traveled to India a number of times on spiritual pilgrimages as the student of Pujya Shree Chitrabhanuji, a renowned master and monk. She has a Bachelor of Science from Central Michigan University, has been a massage therapist, equine massage therapist,reiki practitioner, meditation student and poet. She is currently Assistant Treasurer of the Lighthouse Center, and is past President and Secretary. She is employed by Collected Works, a premier women's boutique, offering "Clothing as Art". Becky lives in Ann Arbor, Michigan with her husband, two daughters and an array of pets and equine friends.
