First poem in book, Titled UNTWISTED.
I am finally untwisted, oh the wonder of it all!
I am like a tree standing straight and tall!
Physically I’m unsteady, weak and I hurt.
But mentally I’m well, strong and very alert!
After years of stumbling, falling and aimlessly wandering around;
At last I’m standing and walking on firm and solid ground!
It took me many years to arrive at a good and peaceful place inside.
Without God and his Word, it was a treacherous and bumpy ride!
For so long I was lost, alone and filled with guilt and shame.
God’s open arms, compassion and love I resisted.
When I finally gave in and called His name;
He was there and quickly got me untwisted!

About the Book
All of my poems come from the heart! Each poem is about finding peace, joy, unconditional love, forgiveness, and living a stress- and guilt-free life. This can be accomplished by turning everything over to God. I’m living proof that He can take away depression, fear, and every negative thing. I pray everyone who reads my poems will be blessed. I give God all the credit.
About the Author
This is my second book of poetry to be published. I wrote my first poem November 22, 2010 to honor my son’s memory. He passed away ten years before. Since I wrote my first poem, I have been inspired by God to write poetry daily. I have written over 300 poems.
My poem, “Untwisted,” was published in the book Stars in Our Hearts, a book of poems of newly published poets. I received a certificate honoring me for being a published poet.
