About the Author
Mary Webre has been married to her husband Brian for over 25 years and is the mother of 3, daughter Lindsay and sons Brandon and Wesley. She is originally from New Orleans, Louisiana and has lived in Mandeville, Louisiana for nearly 20 years. She received inspiration to begin writing children’s books from her great aunt, Ollie Kettenring Dirmann, a fellow author and artist, and her oldest, daughter Lindsay, who graduated from college with a degree in Education and is a PRE K teacher in Covington, Louisiana. Both mother and daughter have always been advocates for literacy and decided it was time to move forward in another direction to promote same. The family pet, HUGO, a mini dachshund puppy, came into the Webre family home and brought much joy at a time of grave illness and sorrow in their family. He brought a quiet inspiration for this book at the very moment he was adopted in to their family without any one even realizing what was happening and helped the author to find the courage to follow her dream and make it a reality. The author would like to express thanks to her family and close friends who have supported her from the beginning.
