About the Author
The author, Lloyd E. Afflick was born and raised in Portland, Jamaica. O-Ceisa graduate of the Mico Teachers College and the University of the West Indies, "Kingston, Jamaica. He holds a Masters (Degree in Education from Florida Atlantic University, where he received a special award for Academic Excellence. He is an amateur poet and enjoys writing on social, educational and historical themes. Throughout his long teaching career he has taught Primary, Middle and High School students in Jamaica, the Bahamas and Broward County, Florida. He is a former lecturer at the San Salvador Teacher's College, Bahamas and part-time lecturer at the College of the Bahamas, Nassau. He was, until he retired from his position as Resource Teacher attached to the Multicultural Department of the Broward County School Board, a guest lecturer at the Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton, Florida. His area of specialization is History and the Social Sciences.
