About the Author

The idea for this book came to me one night when I was putting my son to bed. He was one and a half years old. It was an October evening, and the trees outside our window were magical with their tops glistening with the gold light from the setting sun. That view planted the idea for a children's picture book in my head. Now, eight years later, the idea has finally become a reality. My son is now nine, and has been joined by two younger siblings, a five year old sister and a baby brother. My children are the joys of my life and they surprise and challenge me every day. Being their mom is the most wonderful and rewarding job I could ever have. My family and I live on Long Island, New York. We love spending time together reading books.
