About the Book
From The Principal's Office is a book about public school administration. It discribes how and why administrators chose such a career and shares the experience of the author as he discribes his forty years in public education. The reader will share the highs, lows, flustrations and the how to’s of a career that encompasses all levels of public education.
About the Author
Reginald Gardner lives in rural southwest Virginia with his wife, Jan, who is also a retired public school educator. Gardner received his bachelor’s degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Tennessee and his Masters of Science in School Administration from Radford University with additional studies at Virginia Tech, University of Virginia and the University of South Carolina. He has worked forty years in the field of Education as a teacher, assistant principal, principal, and is currently serving as Upward Bound Program Director at Surry Community College in Dobson, North Carolina. Gardner is serving his third, four-year term as a local school board member serving as both board chair and vice chair.
