I Baked Cookies at Granny's House

About the Book

Giovannica came from St. Louis, Missouri with her mother, to visit her grandmothe in Akron, Ohio. Instant pictures were used to show Giovannica at work making cookies. The pictures were then mixed up and spread out on the table. Giovannica put them in order and told what was happing in each. Her words tell the story.

About the Author

Sarah A. Nettles has been an elementary teacher with the Akron Public Schools in Akron, OH for approximately 40 years. She first retired in 1986 having taught all grades from kindergarten through eight. After retirement, she was invited to return and did so several times withthe most recent being in 2012. Among her highest awards were the George Washington Teacher's Medal, Martha Holden Jennings Award to Outstanding Educators and Outstanding Elementary Teachers of America.
