Far off in the woods lived Pig and Bear
they each had a bounty of love to spare.
There, nestled in a large log cabin
built on a tree filled, star covered mountain. On this night, Pig was warming some stew,
while Bear relaxed and started to snooze.
Snow fell lightly that put chill in the air.
Often an evening, Pig and Bear did share. All of the sudden there was a loud knock,
startled Pig jumped and looked at the clock.
“A half past seven? Oh dear, good heavens!”
Then heard in the den again and again.
Knock! Knock! Knock! So Pig had to stop,
“Who is this knocking?” in wonder Pig thought.
