About the Book

Ollie the Lighthouse, is a whimsical and amusing account of a (real) lighthouse going out into the world seeking his purpose in life; only to discover that his true purpose was already inside of him.

About the Author

Janice McDonald was born and educated in Portsmouth, Virginia but currently resides in Chesapeake, Virginia, which borders the North Carolina line. Because the cities, the towns, and especially the islands of North Carolina are so picturesque and charming, Janice loves to escape in order to absorb the beauty and tranquility there. She also enjoys working with kids. After visiting various lighthouses along the coast of North Carolina, the kid inside of her gave her the idea of writing about Ollie, the Lighthouse.
