I will hear what God the Lord will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people… (Psalm 85:8 KJV.) The Hebrew can be translated as “speaks peace” or “promises peace.” (a.)
I thank You Lord that You will bless Your people with peace. You will give Your people victory over their enemies. I have nothing to fear. You will cause me to be at rest in the face of trials. For You will bless me and nothing can stop You from doing this. You have promised to bless me and You cannot do anything else but to bless me. For You have promised peace and will speak peace to Your people, to Your saints and to me. You have resolved to bless me with Your peace and nothing else can happen. When You speak peace, I will be filled with a calm and unruffled soul, a spirit full of comfort and assurance and a heart filled with love and joy. (Psalm 29:11; 85:8; Numbers 23:19-20.)
Lord, I thank You that You want to bless me and pour upon me Your love and goodness in wonderful ways. I thank You that You want to keep and protect me, holding me close to Your side. I thank You that You want to manifest Your favour and grace upon me as You turn Your face towards me, and Your face shines with pleasure in seeing me. You delight in being with me, and You love me for I am precious to You. And You gaze upon me in love and affection. I love You Lord, for all this culminates in You pouring out upon me Your peace. (Numbers 6:24-26.)
I thank You Lord that Your peace flows like a river. It is always flowing abundantly, like a river whose waters incessantly fill the banks. There flows peace after peace after peace after peace; peace continually flowing after peace, never stopping always gushing, never trickling always rushing, never empty always flooding, never stagnant always fresh. Nothing can stop it, nothing can hinder it, and nothing can get in the way. It continually flows over me, totally covers me and completely fills me at all times and in all situations. (Isaiah 48:18; 66:12.)
I thank You Lord that it is an abundant peace. It is peace that is given excessively, profusely and copiously. You give it generously and liberally and is far more than what I need for any situation and at any time. (Jeremiah 33:6.)
Great peace have those who love Your law, And nothing causes them to stumble. (Psalm 119:165 NKJV.)
I thank You Lord that the peace You give is a “great” peace. It is a “great” peace because it is abundant and plentiful being more than sufficient to quell my fears and uncertainties. It is a “great” peace because it is mighty and overwhelming being able to overcome all that would seek to bring me worry and anxiety. It is a “great” peace for there is nothing else that could compare with its majestic richness and wonderful beauty. It saturates my mind, floods my heart, permeates my soul and superabundantly fills my spirit. Lord, I do love You.
Lord, I thank You that I do not have to be perfect to be able to receive Your peace. Your great, wonderful and abundant peace is given to me because I love Your law. Because I love Your commands I will delight in them, meditate on them, and obey them. I consider them more precious than gold, even pure gold. Therefore, those things, such as money, trials and temptations, will not cause me to stumble because I love Your word and my life revolves around it, and You will give me Your perfect, supreme and abiding peace. (Psalm 119:47, 48, 97, 167, 127.)
You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. (Isaiah 26:3 NKJV.) The Hebrew words translated as “perfect peace” are literally “peace peace”. The repetition of the word “peace” gives an emphasis to it and it can mean a genuine, complete, perfect and undisturbed peace. (e) (n)
The following confessions are based on Isaiah 26:1-4.
I thank You Lord that as I trust You and set my mind upon You, then You will give me a peace that is perfect and ideal.
I thank You Lord that as I rely upon You, and fix my mind upon You then You will give me a perfect peace that is constant and unchanging.
I thank You Lord that as I put my confidence upon You and keep my mind stayed upon You then You will give me a perfect peace that is eternal, enduring and unending.
I thank You Lord that this peace is perfect. It is a permanent peace that will always be in me. It is an abiding peace that continually lives in me. It is a vibrant peace that will permeate all of my life. It is a deep peace that seeps into all the secret and unknown parts of my being. It is a complete peace that will satisfy me totally.
I thank You Lord, that as this peace comes from You, it is a supernatural peace that will constantly amaze me; it is an eternal peace that will be more than enough for me at any time and in any situation; it is an all-powerful peace that will defeat all that would try to cause me to worry and stumble; it is an unchanging peace that can never diminish or fade away.
I thank You Lord that You will keep me in perfect peace. You will watch over me, and Your peace will be like a garrison to my mind protecting it from wrong thoughts. Your peace will be like a guard to my heart keeping it calm and steadfast.
