About the Book

This story is to help children understand that there is something special about everyone. Little Duckie Doodle is a duck born with very special feet. Ducky is very clumsy on land but has feet made for the water. One day he and all his friends go to a picnic. Ducky is so excited and there are all kinds of races. All the races that are held on land—he doesn’t do well and all his friends laughed and made fun of him. So read the story and discover what happens.

About the Author

Claudia J. Verville lives with her husband, Geron, in Michigan in the summer and Arizona in the winter. She was raised in Iron River, Michigan, and lived for years in Ashland, Wisconsin, where they raised their three children. She is proud to be a Registered nurse, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. This story along with two others was found in the papers her mother saved when Claudia was in the fourth grade. They are being published to encourage all children to be creative.
