About the Book

Have you ever walked into a bakery, been overwhelmed by the sights and smells, and not known what to buy? Oh, decisions, decisions! This story tells how hard it was for one little girl to wait in line and then decide what to buy from her favorite bakery.

About the Author

Maria Amato was born in New Jersey on December 3, 1975, to Rose and Ralph Mastellone. She loves being the middle child; she grew up with an older brother, who was her protector, and a younger brother she watched over. In 1997, Maria graduated from Caldwell College with a BA in elementary education and a BA in psychology. After getting a teaching job, she enrolled at Saint Peter’s College to earn a master’s degree in education. In 2001, Maria married her best friend, Frank Amato. In 2002, Maria gave birth to her son, Frankie, and in 2005, she had her daughter, Nicoletta. Maria feels her greatest accomplishments are being a mom and an elementary school teacher. Her favorite thing to do is to read to her children and her students and have her children and students read to her. Her hope is that her books will be on the shelves of bookstores and libraries so that parents, teachers, and children will enjoy reading them.
