"Pablo...where are you, Pablo? Someone is here to meet you," called out Stephanie the animal trainer at the habitat.
"Here I am, Stephanie! I'm swimming in the pond. The water is so refreshing. I could stay here the rest of the day, " answered the playful penguin.
"Well, I guess we can talk to you by the edge of the water...that is if you promise not to splash us!" joked Stephanie. She and an unfamiliar man walked closer to the clear, blue pond.
"Pablo, I would like you to meet my brother, Bryan. He is a park ranger in a very large forest in California. He has come all this way to invite us to vacation in one of his campgrounds."
"Hello, Bryan, pleased to meet you. As long as Stephanie is with me, I would be happy to visit your forest. Of course, I have already seen a forest in Maine. Aren't all forests the same?"
"Pleased to meet you too, Pablo." said the young man as he shook Pablo's flipper. "That is a very good question. No, not all forests are alike. That is all I will say for now. I would like to save my complete answer for you when you can see for yourself."
The curious penguin thought for a moment and then said, "Oh, Bryan, now I am really wondering what could be so different about your forest. I can't wait to visit! When can we leave, Stephanie? I want to go to the forest right away!" cried the excited

About the Book
Pablo Visits the Forest is the third book in the Pablo Adventure Series. Pablo is a warm weather (African) penguin that loves adventure. He and his friend, Carmelita Cockatoo, journey to the Redwood Forest in California where the giant sequoia trees grow in majestic splendor. Guided by the park ranger, Pablo and Carmelita learn about the ancient trees of America’s northwest. Even within the beautiful surroundings, the visitors learn that danger can lurk in the shadows of the Redwood Forest. Come join Pablo and his friends as they explore the secrets under the forest canopy!
About the Author
Mary (Peggy) Wisham Fenstermacher was born in Bridgeton, New Jersey, the county seat of Cumberland County. She enjoyed the childhood pleasures of living on a small farm complete with a barn full of laying hens, a black Cocker Spaniel, and a Shetland pony. Mary completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in English at Kutztown State College (now University) in Kutztown, Pennsylvania. She has been an elementary school teacher in various public and Christian schools in Pennsylvania and Maine for over twenty years. She has taught every grade from Pre-kindergarten through eighth grade, Title 1 Literacy, special education students, and classroom music. She has also homeschooled her own children for ten years. Her love of writing led her to apply for enrollment in the Institute for Children’s Literature where she was readily accepted. Her final project was a story about a warm weather penguin that loved to explore…Pablo the Penguin had been created! Pablo Visits the Desert was the Winner of the USA Book News competition (Novelty & Gift category) in 2012. Pablo Visits the Ocean won Finalist status the same year. In 2012, Mary also published a book of inspirational poems and devotions entitled My Soul Doth Magnify the Lord. Within these pages are poems, devotions and anecdotes which provide encouragement and moments of serenity for the reader—any day and any hour. Mary lives in Peru, Maine with her husband, Todd. They have five grown children, four grandchildren, and grandchild number five is on the way! She enjoys teaching piano lessons to area students and plays the piano for services at Faith Way Baptist Church in Jay, Maine.
