A homemade curry

Our first homemade curry

It was certainly a start,

Lots of nice chicken and curry sauce

And it didn’t make us fart!

Maybe too many onions

But it still tasted fine,

As we washed it down

With a nice bottle of wine!

My best friend’s getting married

At school they met

But they did not know then,

That all this time on

They would meet up again.

In the `Golden Lion’ pub

Andy waited with hope,

But Cath wasn’t ready

She just couldn’t cope.

Then one day it happened

And she had to agree,

As she looked into his eyes

They were meant to be.

And now as they both

Take a walk down the aisle,

We all look back

And give a smile . . .

As we remember the story

With the perfect end,

To a wonderful tale

Of two good friends . . .

Wine

Sipping my wine

All fruity and red,

Knowing that soon

I’ll be ready for bed.

But It’s only five thirty

There’s still hours ahead

So I put down my glass

And drink water instead.

It’s not quite the same

Doesn’t have the affect,

That you want when you feel like

An unwanted reject . . .

Happiness

Life is funny

We don’t know what to do,

One minute we’re happy

The next feeling `blue’.

When we’re happy it’s great

We could go on and on,

But all out of nowhere

It’s suddenly gone.

Sometimes for no reason

It just disappears

And we’re left in a state

With anxiety`s and fears.

But we know round the corner

Something will appear,

To cheer us up

And wipe away our tears.

We’re happy again!

But how long will it last . . .

`Forever!’ We say

`cos the sadness has past . . .
