About the Author
Biography William A. “Bill” Johnson at 74 years old is the product of true pioneers who settled The Old West of Montana, Idaho and Oregon. His story is about real people whose names “aint the same” so’s they caint git mad and try to “Gun Me Down”. Even the stories have been changed to protect the guilty. The “Old Man” as he is called around here lives on his “El Rancho Grande” in California. His ranch is called “The Palms Ranch and Power Company.” And now when somebody asks him where he lives he doesn’t have to say, “I live so fer back in them hills that I have to go towards town to go deer huntin.” Even so, he still lives 20 miles from town. He says, “Life is so good now, so easy, so convenient. “I remember those old days, I enjoyed living them, but I don’t miss them now”. He spent 13 years fighting the cold war in Europe and the hot war in Vietnam. His military perspective shows through in his writing and if you are a veteran ground-pounder you will enjoy this book the same as if you’re a cowboy. Enjoy!
