About the Book

Have you ever wondered at the seeming contradiction between the Old Testament, where God declared that he is one, “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one,” and the New Testament, where Jesus claims that he is also God? If the God of the Old Testament declared that no man may see his face and live, and if Jesus is God, then why is it that many in the New Testament saw Jesus’s face and did not die from the act? Have you wondered why the New Testament teaches that God is Father, Son, and Spirit, while the Old Testament seemingly only speaks of God the Father? If you have noticed these apparent contradictions or have pondered these questions, then this book is for you. The Unrecognized King leads you through the scriptures step-by-step and demonstrates the high level of synergy between the God portrayed in the Old Testament and the God portrayed in the New Testament—between the God of the Jews and the God of the Christians. The Unrecognized King peels back the Old Testament scriptures, layer by layer, and reveals the truths hidden there—namely that Jesus, the Son of God, walked among the Israelites and interacted with many of their leaders over many hundreds of years, centuries before he was born in a manger.

About the Author

Mike Wiggan first became interested in communications systems in the army. Since leaving the military, he has made a career in information technology and has worked in IT management for corporations such as Reuters, Computer Sciences Corporation (at JPMorgan), and Darden Restaurants. He attended the City College of New York and NSU and holds a bachelor of science in business administration with a concentration in computer science. Throughout his career, he has earned many certifications covering different technologies and project management areas. Mike has been a Christian since his early teens and a prolific reader even before then. His appetite for reading led him to study various books and subject matter in the Bible many times over. His prodigious reading, his enquiring mind, and his life experiences outside of Christian circles has provided him a unique perspective on Christian doctrine. Aside from the Bible and technology, he reads a lot of popular literature; some of his favorite authors of yore are Louis L’Amore (westerns), Alistair Maclean (thrillers), J. R. R. Tolkien (fantasy), and Isaac Asimov (science fiction). Mike lives in Florida with his sons, Daniel and Joshua. He is an avid recreational endurance cyclist, having participated in events such as the Horrible Hundred, the Intracoastal Waterway Century, the Strawberry century, the Santa Fe Century, the Tour de Cure, and the Ride2Recovery for wounded veterans.
