FOR THE CLOUDS TO PART SO THE SUN COULD SHINE Could it be any closer to the end, Our hearts broken to bad to mend. Is it too late to confide in a friend? Is it too far gone to pretend? You can’t conceal the lies anymore, It’s too close to your face to ignore. It’s past the point of walking out the door, And it’s hard to keep my feet on the floor. You want to lay it all down and give in, Because you know that you just cannot win. You feel convicted and bound by your sins, And you feel incarcerated within. You can’t break free from the things in the past, How long can this agony last? I’m too afraid to end it all too fast, But I’m not too afraid to take off this mask. This mask that hides the tears in my eyes, It hides all my feelings deep down inside. And it sugar coats all that I imply. I try to learn from all my mistakes, Only God knows how long that will take. And no matter how hard I try it seems fake, It seems like my conscience might break. My whole fucking mind just might snap, Overloaded from all of this crap. My heart might shut down like a trap, Dissolving my reasoning before someone gets slapped. Or maybe love really is blind, And when I wake up everything will be just fine. About the Author
At a young age he was introduced to poetry. One of his favorites was Edgar Allen Poe. One day he tried to put his feelings and pain into a poem with his own twist of thoughts and feelings. He didn’t stop at one poem and soon realized he liked it and it seemed to come naturally. His poetry is about all kinds of subjects that many people can relate to. Most of which came from his mind, heart, and soul. He took to poetry as a young teen and hasn’t stopped yet.
