This book is written based on personal experience. I have seen children being bullied and called names. I believe this is a serious problem in our country today and hope this book will bring some discussion in classroom settings as well as in the home.

About the Author

Norma Niemi Lundstrom is a retired teacher. She lives in Kenosha, Wisconsin, with her husband, two children, and their dog, Dakota. She has published several books of poetry and also enjoys making jewelry. This is her first children’s book.

"I think bullying is a huge problem, and that this book makes clear how much it can effect small children. It is a heartwarming book about how friends don't look on your outer opinion, they look at your heart. I thoroughly believe that this book should be displayed at every school for a lesson on bullying and/or harrassment. I recomand this book for all ages. One more thing is that the pictures capture the meaning of the writing wonderfully. I really enjoyed this book, I guarantee that you will to. (:"

"This book does not have a ""chubby"" child in any of the pictures. If these are chubby children, no wonder kids have self-esteem issues and eating disorders. All of the children in the pictures are average size and cute. The photos are randomly selected photos of different children; there is no one main character pictured. This is not a story or a book to give to anyone. There is no solution to the problem, in fact, it is hard to know what the problem is, name calling, being fat, not having friends... The solution seems to be, hope that a new child will come to your school and they will be your friend. There are no steps suggested like talk to an adult, get help from someone you trust, tell someone. With all of the information about bullying out there, this book is not a solution."

The author has written a book that is needed in these trying times of bullying in our schools and the school yards. I would highly recommend this to all that have children or teach - it is a teaching tool for all teachers and parents, and easy to understand, even for children."
