Letters to my Angel

Prologue

Dear Guardian Angel,

I’m up again in the middle of the night. The chill of uncertainty crept up to my heart with the presence of the shadows. They were here watching over my sleep as usual, they are watching my every move. Every time I noticed the dark essence of their existence I can taste the bitterness inside my soul, as if they turned a switch where I struggled to uncover a memory that has been buried deep within. A story that has been written in my bones, a forbidden truth that is waiting to be released with no other outcome than to smash my life until darkness falls.

I close my eyes trying to calm the rage that somehow is brewing in my heart. I learned to appreciate the beauty of darkness, the cacophony in the silence, and the absence of life my subconscious is hunting for. I look for your light and see nothing, and then it hit me. The shadows have the answers I’ve been searching for. If only they could talk or articulate a tip-off, I know the specters are the key to unravel the bizarre events of my past.

You are my angel, you are my guardian and for that reason I think you are trying to keep hidden my reality. What is it you are protecting me from? Who am I? I need to know, you need to help me. I don’t want to succumb in shadows, sorrow, or dismay. Please Guardian Angel help me find the light, I beg you.
