About the Book
It was early in December in the great wilds of Canada, and the weather was starting to get very, very cold. It was deer hunting season, and Grandpa Sam and his son, Marc, were staying at their hunting camp across from the grounds of a kind old gentleman named Uncle Bill and his wife, Aunt Betsy.
Every night after their hunt, Grandpa Sam and Marc returned to camp to find a large cat trying to find food in the driveway. But they didn’t know that the cat was trying to find food not just for herself, but for her sweet little calico kitten as well. Soon after, coyotes were heard howling and yapping around camp.
A couple of days later, Uncle Bill decided to take a break after a long day of hard work. He took a seat on the camp steps, and as he sat enjoying the warmth of the sun, he was surprised to hear a soft meow from beneath him. He looked down to find a beautiful calico kitten with fur of many colors and bright emerald eyes. He didn’t know it then, but this was a special kitten with a special job given to her by God, in answer to a prayer.
