After browsing through the columns in the newspaper I found a house that suited my exaggerated needs. It was a Victorian mansion no less, built in late 1800. There were some testimonials of previous owners, I skipped them all. I´d rather go and have a look at the place myself. It was on the other side of the state, it would take days to reach, I figured I could make a little road trip out of it – It would do me good. Some time alone to clear my head was just what the doctor ordered – or at the very least it would make me feel better. I looked up the address on the map the next morning and left the summerhouse early to make good time. I had many houses in various places on the globe, it might seem a little redundant to buy yet another one, however this time it was more immediate that I find a place to settle; more to the point, I couldn't stand staying at a temporary home, much less take advantage of my various relatives that lived in the city. By an extraordinary coincidence, the mansion that caught my eye was owned by my good friend Richard. No doubt he would give me a fair price for it. And if he didn't agree to it at first I would simply pull a few favors, and that would settle it. It was a fair drive from my summerhouse at the beach to the city, and much further still the distance from the city to the mansion

About the Author
It is quiet in the library, the books make no sound apart from the occasional rattling of the shelves as I walk by. Here is where my thoughts have free reign, deep notions receive shape, and become something tangible. This is the beginning of any story - a notion - my obsession with the english language not withstanding. Sir, Edgar Allen Poe gave me the inspiration I needed to put pen to paper, his horror stories set the scene of my own story. I also enjoy the works of George R. R. Martin on occasion, although I rather watch the episodes than read it. I suppose it appeals to my more brutal nature, which is why I indulge in playing airsoft from time to time. When I am not firing BB-pellets, I enjoy the life of any small town person, the first and foremost hobby of any resident of The Faroe Islands being good food and comfy chairs, but there is a time and place for everything. Tórshavn is the smallest capital in the world, a small town of just under 20000 people. Although this is not my place of birth, this is where I now reside, although it is only 45 minutes from my home town.
