About the Book

This is a story of one woman’s fight to recover from mental illness. Diagnosed as Schizophrenic in 1986, the author writes about the struggles of poverty, abandonment and hopelessness that can come with the disease. Now living on her own, she credits faith as the thing that has helped her survive.

About the Author

"The book is about my life and my experiences when I grow up as a child and when I was recovering from mental illness.I didn't finish High School" - Linda Baker is from Scott Arkansas. She is 54 years old and lives in Little Rock Arkansas. She has 3 adult children and 7 grandchildren. She likes to cook, fish, dance and attend church. She enjoys looking at life from a new perspective, and is proud of her new found independence.
