Jason had a sleepless night due to the disturbances in his home. His lights were turning on and off without any human interaction and doors were slamming closed. There was no wind, what happened next startled him as he sat on the couch watching television; something appeared on the screen that was not part of the programme, it seemed to climb out of the television screen. This creature had a few humanlike traits, including normal arms and legs except that they were supported by devilish looking claws. It had a humanlike mid-section, its head was more demon-like with razor sharp teeth mounted onto its disfigured head and neck which looked as though it was turned 360 degrees upside –down.
It had eerie, glowing eyes. As it entered he could see that due to its head being inverted wrong way round it seemed to walk as though it was inside out. Jason could smell the reek of death that accompanied this creature. He could not move he was stunned as though he had been turned to stone by the ancient Greek mythological creature Medusa’s glare. Jason seemed to be helpless and vulnerable to it. As the creature leaped at him Jason made a break for it, he leaped over the couch and preceded towards his front door, close behind followed the creature. Jason wondered to himself “how will I escape this demon?” He had no idea how he would escape and no time to grab his car keys. He just ran like his life depended on it, as he turned to look at the creature it seemed to vanish into thin air. “Why had it not continued to follow him?” thought Jason. This was way too peculiar to ignore, he wanted to return home to fetch his car keys and something bizarre happened. Somehow his car keys were in his hands as if the demon creature wanted him to leave. He couldn’t spend the night at home but where would he be safe? He could go to a friend but what if it returned again and attempted to injure him, or even worse, his friend. He decided to spend the night driving around so he could easily clear his thoughts and put his plan into action to search for Adam Thurston. Maybe he had the answers to these strange phenomena that had been taking place. Jason thought to himself, “what if it is my fault that this is happening? What if all the years of suppressing the images of what he had seen in his childhood, had brought it back? Could it truly be blamed entirely upon his ancestors? All the questions he had seemed to faze him, because for the first time in his life he did not know the answers, he could not come to a conclusion and this sense of no control made him frustrated. He always enjoyed assuming control of a situation because he normally could make viable resolutions to any problem very quickly, for the first time ever he would have to ask someone else for help. The night seemed to drag on forever, he had never experienced a more torturous night in his life. Jason drove for many long, gruelling hours and then finally he laid eyes on small beams of sunlight on the horizon. For the first time since the night before, calamity seemed to fill his body, but this soon changed. He seemed to be losing concentration and as he looked in front of him, he saw that the creature reappeared in the road before him. Jason swerved the car as he tried to avoid it. Fear enveloped Jason’s mind. He struggled to regain control of the car but once he did, he realised the creature had vanished into the night. It seemed to be taunting him, maybe even torturing him, as though it was just a small taste of what was to come.
As the sun rose upon Virginia, he wondered if anyone else was experiencing the same things that he was; could anybody possibly understand what he was going through? The new day was accompanied by a strong sense of contempt for the people who had caused this to happen to him, no new hope could be salvaged from the day only fear and anguish. Jason decided to pull himself together. He returned home and devised a plan to end these so called “hauntings”. He needed to find an ally, someone who would believe him and help him protect himself against the coming evil that he would encounter. Although he was still vaguely disturbed by what had happened the night before he also knew he would not allow these things to dictate his life, it was something he could overcome, though it would be a struggle. Jason made a decision that would change his life forever. He was going to try and take them on by himself and if that did not work he would try and find Adam. He tried to continue his study into demonology and exorcism rituals used by all different religions but soon realised it was something he would not be able to do by himself without the right training. This frustrated him more, maybe it was due to his stubborn nature, and he continued to search for answers. Whilst searching he found a startling piece of information, the creature that had come for him was a demon and went by the name of an Oblivion. It was a creature of demonic origin contracted to appear to a person who would soon be possessed or inhabited by an unworldly presence. According to the information, this creature could not be stopped and would continue to appear and each visit would become more violent. This frightened Jason to his very core. Jason thought to himself” there has to be a way to overcome it, this is not happening” his mind felt blank as he tried to find a way, he could not think of anything that would get him out of his current predicament. Was there another way? Could he alone possess the power to stop It.?
